Functional Description

Subject Matter Experts (SME) are required to perform network integration of software defined routing, Quality of Service policy development for the optimization of traffic, and the implementation and management of a software defined orchestration environment. The SMEs will have to implement these network solutions within the legacy Base Area Network (BAN) and the Base Boundary. Involvement with the operations community 26NOS, DISA, and INOSCs will be necessary to implement SME proposed solutions. SMEs will also be responsible for the delivery of detailed architectural diagrams, network test reports, and implementation plans. The following areas are additional areas of responsibilities in support of this task:

Support meetings as required by AFSN

Provides SME level technical support for routing, switching, firewall, proxy, IPS/IDP

Effectively utilize HNIB labs to recreate issues and solve problems

Provide analysis of operational configurations and performance data captured through analysis tools or by other means provided

Troubleshooting experience with WAN, LAN and Data Center technologies (Ex. MPLS, DMVPN, BGP, MP-BGP, VRF’s, VLANs)

Creating diagrams related to network topologies within the Areas of Responsibility (AOR) that pertain to this task

Provide information pertaining to risks as seen during the course of the task order

Provide presentation materials and input for oral and written communication for senior leaders briefings

Travel as directed by the PMO to perform activities related to this task

Integrate enclave encryption solutions (i.e. High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE), Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), or Transmission Security (TRANSEC)) and has Emanations Security (EMSEC) features

Certification Requirements

Senior: Security+ CE, CE/OS: CCNP or CCNP level experience.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI
